ScanScore is optical music recognition software that turns printed sheet music, PDFs, and image files into editable digital scores. It is designed for professional musicians, composers, choir directors, and ensemble leaders working with complex arrangements or orchestral scores containing unlimited staves per system.
Users can scan music with a smartphone or conventional scanner, correct recognized notation, transpose parts, and listen to selected staves. Finished scores can be exported as MusicXML or MIDI files. For further work with exported MIDI, Cockos REAPER for MIDI editing and music production provides a related workflow.
